Having the flu used to mean a little OJ, some chicken soup, and plenty of time resting in bed. And then in a few days you're back in the game again. But now research says it can cause a heart attack?! Here's more on the surprising study.

I'm glad that my friends and I could become such a scapegoat for all those that read this article. I appreciate the link to my YouTube video, as well as the hateful comments left on the site. Now here is some background information for those who choose to judge us as 'stupid' for the video. I am 19 years old, as is the 'choker' in the video. Both of us attend the University of Pennsylvania, which, to the uneducated, is an Ivy League university. We are currently ranked 7th in the nation. Our Wharton School of Business, which the 'choker' attends, is the number one school for business in the country. We fully understood the risks involved and took precautions to avoid any negative outcome. As much of a laugh as we have gotten from your ignorant comments, I feel it's necessary to educate you on the circumstances surrounding the video. Fooling around like this at college is bound to happen; the thing that parents need to look out for is younger kids doing this kind of act without understanding the possible outcomes.
