Most of us know by now that the key to a healthy lifestyle is less time on the couch and more time on our feet. Surprisingly, the obesity epidemic is not only a problem for humans; this sedentary life is plaguing humans and canine alike. A research study found that simply walking your dog 20 minutes a day, five days a week, led to an average weight loss of 14 pounds among its human participants. The dogs enjoyed a healthier life too! This physical activity has also been shown to improve blood pressure and reduce stress! So, what are you and Fido waiting for? Get walking!
