Weight is rising at an alarming rate. These statistics show that nearly every other person will have weight issues in less than 10 years. It's time for us to wake up and smell the coffee... then get some exercise!

Exercise, yes. It is really important that we are physically active in some way, but it is more than that. Our portion sizes and quality of food are just as important. I live in a community with a lot of seniors and have found that those living well into old age eat smaller portions of less processed foods and incorporate exercise into their daily life: walking the dog, gardening, hobbies that keep them physically active or their hands busy so their mouths are not. You can learn a lot from them.
