Supermarkets...they think they're so smart

You walk into the supermarket and notice the delicious arrangement of melons, strawberries, and grapes. Fruits have never looked this good! Well, it is not cheap...that attractive convenience can cost you up to twice as much as purchasing the whole fruits individually. This also holds true for the Filet Mignon wrapped with bacon, the stuffed salmon, and those ready-for-the-grill marinated steaks.

If that isn't tempting enough, you can find these items strategically placed at the front of the store. They lure you in as soon as you step foot in the grocery store! However, Nutritionists agree that there is nothing wrong with these pre-prepared, pre-cut, pre-chopped foods if it gets people to eat more healthfully. Do you think it's worth it to pay extra for these items? Or should we all save a little and do the work ourselves?

Click here to see what else these supermarkets don't want you to know!

I DON'T MIND PAYING FOR EXTRA. WHEN I BUY THE STRAWBERRIES IN THE CARTON, I END UP HAVING TO THROW HALF OF THEM AWAY BECAUSE THEY ARE ROTTEN. I DON'T MIND PAYING THE EXTRA BECAUSE I SEE THE ENTIRE PRODUCT IS FRESH.
