When you, an adult, are in the hospital, it is hard enough to deal with all of the prodding and poking from the doctors and nurses, along with the constant interruptions, but for kids it can be 100 times more terrifying.

As a solution, some hospitals are implementing animals as a form of mental therapy to make the kids feel more at ease. I think this is a great approach, as the patient can feel relaxed (as much as possible) for some time during their stay!
