Halloween has come and gone and as the days progress, your kids will eat more and more candy. Before you start to panic about the sugar rush, think of the consequences of restricting the candy as well. The key is to let your children enjoy their treats in moderation. If too many restrictions are in place your children might hide or eat the candy behind your back.

Halloween is only once a year and instead of restricting them, moderation and control should be exercised. We should be more concerned about the soda, juices and sports drinks consumed the rest of the year. To help your children prevent cavities, flossing and extra brushing are needed. You might want to consider using the dentist as a deterrent to eating too much candy with your kids. It would definitely work with me!
