I've honestly never thought about the “dangers” of tattoos. They are so common that I'm sure many of us assume they're safe.But, when you stop and think about what a tattoo entails (injecting ink under your skin), perhaps we should be paying more attention to the possible risks. For example, what happens to the ink when the tattoo begins to fade?
Truth be told, the FDA does not regulate the ink used for tattoos. Surprising? According to the article, this is “because of other public health priorities and a previous lack of evidence of safety concerns.” Concerned?
