Water, Water and More Water
Saturday, May 24, 2008
Okay, you've heard it before: Drink eight glasses of water per day. Water is good for your skin. Water helps to flush toxins from your body, and of course, it helps to curb your appetite, right?Wrong. These are all myths, according to a new scientific review published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. Apparently, none of the findings above were conclusive in any scientific studies.
So where did all these water myths come from, and why won't they just go away? That's what I would like to know. It would be nice to get to the bottom of the water woes, so we can all stop pretending to enjoy these large bottles of water we drag around daily.
I’m curious…how much water do you drink everyday based on these supposed myths?
