We all have favorite foods that we like to indulge in. You know, the ones that we can eat at any time of the day or night. For me, indulging is more about taking pleasure in eating or drinking something you enjoy. It's about savoring the food slowly instead of doing the kind of overeating that leads to frustration and guilt later on.
I am not particularly a “sweets lover” (although my fondness for chocolate, particularly dark chocolate, has grown lately), but I like salty foods a lot. I love bread, milk (cannot live without it) and, last but not least, wine. I don’t do it often, but I am always in the mood for a good bottle of wine – with food or alone. It reminds me of my younger days when my family used to get together to talk and hear or play music. My grandfather was from Spain, so we inherited that “custom”.
So tell me, what is your favorite food indulgence and what happy memories come to mind when you are enjoying it? How does it affect your diet or well-being? Respond and share your love for food!

I love baked potatoes. When I was a kid, heading to the beach was a special treat in more ways than one. We used to build a good fire right on the sand. Once the embers were ready we would bury the fire along with a bunch of big spuds with sticks shoved into them. After an hour or 2 of normal beach fun we'd pull out these really ugly burnt baked potatoes. What lay inside of those aweful black exteriors was the sweetest, most savory starch you could ever dream of. (butter in a squeeze bottle and a touch of salt was always a nice touch)

My favorite indulgence food is the Black Tie Chocolate Mousse from the Olive Garden Restaurant. It is the one and only time I eat an entire dessert alone. I also order it first and ask the server to bring it to the table before the entree. It's so creamy, sweet, chocolately and just delicious. I can only imagine how many calories, grams of fat and sugar it has, but WHO CARES. It's a once or twice a year indulgence, and everyone deserves something that tastes that good from time to time.

POTATO CHIPS!!! Unfortunately, I know they are not good for you. But I MUST eat them, especially with sandwiches.
I do buy the low fat ones, but I probably still over indulge! My only vice?!

Cereal. Oh my lord.
I LOVE cereal.
Mostly Cheerios, Porridge, Bran Flakes, Sunnybisks and ASDAs Hawiian Crunch.
I could live off cereal for the rest of my life XD.
I also have a weekness for chocolate chip cookies. But they're only every once in a while :].
One thing that I do absolutley love, is the old classic apple pie - I always have it with ambrosia low fat custard, it's sooo creamy and much tastier than the normal full fat one.
Again, thats a once in a while treat though.
I'm a Fruit and Berry lover <3 :]
Lime sorbet is absolutley de-lish!

My favorite comfort food is ice cream. No matter what is going wrong in my life, ice cream makes it better - at least until it hits my hips. :)

I gotta gotta have a hamburger from time to time. I love them any way I can get them but without ketchup. I really hate fries though, I call them fat sticks so I feel pretty ok about indulging in a fast food burger once and a while:)

I love peanut butter - so toast with pb and honey, or scotcheroos or peanut butter cheesecake. Also-love cheddar caramel popcorn and I am a sucker for brown sugar oatmeal and any fruit possible. Also lasagna is a good comfort food with buttery garlic bread!

My fav indulgence is Pasta and good wine. I think good ambience(olive garden a good deal), good pasta recipe and a good wine all can make a perfect dinner for any special occassion. I also like germanchocolatecake icecream, or for that matter any signature icecreams from Coldstone. Once in a while i indulge in savouring them.
