Extreme Flat Abs WorkoutThe words flat and abs got your attention, didn't they? Want to know the secret to getting a tight tummy and flat abs? The secret is... there is no secret. There is however, a formula that works for everyone.

Attaining a flat and tight abdominal area will depend on the total amount of body fat you have to lose. However, anyone can flatten the mid-section… Yes, anyone!

If you read my articles often, you know that I place a great deal of emphasis on reducing body fat through a calorie-reduced nutrition program and by incorporating weight training and cardiovascular exercise to stimulate the metabolism.

Abdominal exercises serve to strengthen and tighten the abs, so when your body fat reduces -- you then see the fruits of your labor (flat abs!). I'm focusing on three abdominal exercises that will strengthen and tighten your tummy, but your food intake must be taken into consideration.

Extreme Flat Abs routine will require some gym equipment, but it's very effective for tightening the upper and lower abdominal region, as well as the oblique muscles ("love handles").

key to the effectiveness of any exercise is based on proper technique, sufficient intensity and intelligent frequency.

Exercise #1 - Bicycle Maneuver (see the video below!)

Starting Position:
-- Lie on a mat with your lower back in a comfortable position.
-- Bring your knees up to about a 45-degree angle.

Movement:
-- Slowly go through a bicycle pedaling motion alternating your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee.

Key Points:
-- This can be a more advanced exercise. Do not perform this activity if it puts any strain on your lower back.
-- Do not pull on your head and neck during this exercise.
-- The lower to the ground your legs bicycle, the harder your abs have to work.

After completing, immediately go to the next flat abs exercise.

hi,

i am a paraplegic due to a spinal cord injury. levels t12 and L1 were fractured and dislocated. i want to have a flat tummy. sometimes i know it's impossible coz i sit on my wheelchair all the time. however, i know that it is feasible too with discipline and hard work. i am also guilty of the yo-yo diet. i gain weight then i lose some. will you please help me? i can give you more information about my history. please email me at kooky_kookoo@yahoo.com

Hello,
I am a mother of three that has an extremely flabby belly and I really can't stand myself. I work full time, take care of my family and go to school. (oh yeah I'm 48 years old). what kind of ab exercises should/ or can a person do that has had 2 abdominal hernias to keep the muscles strong and not redo the hernia

Hi..I am a mother of 2 and i am wondering ... I just recently found out that i have herniated disks in L4 L5 and i was wondering is this safe for me to do??

I am 40ish and about 60 lbs overweight. When I do any type of Floor exercises where I have to lie down, I always come up with a headache. I can feel the pressure in my neck and head when I'm lying on the floor.
Are there any props ( pillows ) or other type of ab work I can do and be just as effective without having to lie down on the floor.. These ' headaches ' turn into Migraines shortly after.

oh we do a core class every Tues and Thurs. at work for lunch and I tell ya this hurts lolol. I deliveried my baby by C-section and I can feel this exercise on my lower abs. The class is awesome I'm almost in my prepregnancy jeans, I'm 4 months post partum

Hi Im 33years old mother of a 12yr old and for 10yrs I been working out here and there I work full time and part time at home cleaning and walking the dog the most I have lost is 20pounds and I want to lost 30 these 10pounds are hard to lost and, you would think it would be easy to lost 10 pounds sit ups after sit ups and all I get is flappy tummy no tightes please help email me lisac1008@yahoo.com

Sorry...not buying a word of this. I could do these exercises two hours a day, every day for the rest of my life and still not have a flat stomach. What the author seemingly fails to mention is that if you have a LOT of belly fat, as I do, your ab muscles will not show under the fat. Period. It is a waste of time to do ab exercises until the fat is gone. Disagee with me all you want, but I've always had belly fat no matter what I've weighed, how much I've worked out, or what I've eaten, and ab exercises have never done jack for me. The only things that may work for me are to lose weight all over, or a tummy tuck - which I'm seriously considering. Until then, all the ab exercises in the world will not help me. I'm not wasting my time with the ones suggested here.
