Best Body Boot Camp
eDiets Best Body Boot Camp is the new standard in boot camp workouts. eDiets Chief Fitness Pro Raphael Calzadilla has helped thousands of people totally transform their bodies, and he leads new recruits through four levels of high-energy workouts to get major results in just six weeks. If you've been falling short on your weight-loss goals, this program is for you.

Boot Camp Basics
"Most people don't have short-term goals and a sense of urgency when they embark on a workout program," says Raphael. "Human nature is such that people tend to not push and challenge themselves. The Best Body Boot Camp brings these three components -- short-term goals, a sense of urgency and a challenge -- so recruits can reach their goals."
Adding accountability to an exercise routine makes sure you do it. Many people fail to get results because they don't really know what to do and get discouraged when it doesn't work. The Best Body Boot Camp takes you step-by-step through six weeks that will transform your body.
Raphael is amazed at how many of his clients come to him and simply say, "Just tell me what to do, how often, how intense..." and so on. A personal trainer will design your workout and modify it as you improve to get the best results. The Best Body Boot Camp is like having a personal trainer, without the hefty price tag.
"For the eDiets Best Body Boot Camp workouts, I not only outline a specific plan for six weeks based on experience level, but I also make myself 100 percent available on the eDiets boot camp support board," says Raphael.
"I don't just give you the DVD and send you on your way. Over the course of the six weeks, I provide appropriate increases in exercise frequency and intensity so you can progress as quickly as possible. I also push people, coach them, motivate them and ask them to challenge themselves. It's not only about a step-by-step workout progression for six weeks, but also daily contact from me and the ability to communicate with me to help you reach your goals."
Can You Handle It?
Raphael designed four workouts for various fitness levels. The Basic Training workout is perfect for beginners, the Battle Ready workout is ideal for intermediates and Advanced Camp is great for those who can handle a high degree of challenge. Plus, most exercises have a modified version for those who can't do certain moves.
"I've provided workouts that just about any level of experience can handle and improve upon. However, what really sets the program apart from any other DVD is that you not only receive daily instructions from me by email, but you can also ask me questions on the eDiets boot camp support board," Raphael says.
"Need a movement modified? I can help. Need motivation? I'm there for you. My goal is to help everyone shed inches, incinerate body fat, lose weight and increase energy in six weeks."
Raphael keeps all the workouts around 25-30 minutes, so "no time to exercise" is no longer an excuse. You don't need long exercise sessions to see results with the Best Body Boot Camp program.
Time to Enlist
eDiets Best Body Boot Camp program is a total-body approach to fitness that also incorporates proper nutrition through eDiets online and meal delivery plans. Simply buy the DVD, pick a meal plan and start losing weight.
"It all begins with nutrition. You have to have a caloric deficit in order to lose fat," says Raphael. "Pair that with a total-body approach to exercise and you have the recipe for your best body."
For added motivation, eDiets members Cathy and Justin demonstrate the exercises in the program with Raphael, who has worked one-on-one with Cathy -- who lost 115 pounds -- and Justin -- who lost 65 pounds.
"Anyone who is excited and really committed to make a change should join the boot camp program," says Cathy. "Whether you're a beginner or experienced exerciser, you will feel better, you will see improvements in endurance and strength, you will see the fat start to come off, and you'll begin to feel a growing sense of accomplishment and confidence!"
"A lot can happen in six weeks, and anyone who is ready and committed to make a change should sign up to see just how much improvement they can make in a short amount of time!"

Before I purchase the DVD, can you please comment on whether or not anything additional is needed to perform the workouts (ex: weights, bands, etc.)? Also, how much space will I need to work out (floor space in front of TV is small). Thanks!

Hi VAM,
All you need is a pair of hand weights (dumbbells), a mat and supportive shoes. It's designed to be performed in front of your TV set and does not require a lot of room. As long as you have room for exercises such as jumping jacks, squats, lunges etc. you'll be fine!

Hey Raphael
I just ordered the DVD and am looking forward to getting it. I plan to incorporate the workouts into a new exercise routine now that I am done with my Breast Cancer 3 day walk (and training).

Hey Karen J! Really happy that you ordered the DVD. You might want to try the Advanced Camp workout on the DVD -- it's challenging but I know you can handle it!
See you on the Exercise and Fitness support board.

Hi guys - great questions! The DVD can be purchased and used as a stand alone exercise video and there are instructions as part of the introduction that recommend frequency of workouts with it and so on.
The Boot Camp ONLINE Program is a program that we designed to complement the DVD and provide additional one-on-one support from Raphael and group/peer support from the fellow class members. We have a private group support board set up for our members and provide assistance in modifying your boot camp workouts, helping you stay on track with your meal plan and keeping you motivated so that you see RESULTS by the end of the 6 week program.
Raphael provided some additional information in his latest Ask Raphael column.
If you're an eDiets member, this is a one great way to step up your exercise and nutrition program for the new year, at NO ADDITIONAL COST (aside from the purchase of the DVD). Members can sign-up for Boot Camp CLASS by emailing BootCampSignUp@ediets.com by 1/5. You may also use that email for additional information.
If you're not yet a member - join now and then sign-up for boot camp by 1/5 and we will make sure you see RESULTS!
I hope this helps!

Hi, I think this program sounds great! I would order it right now except that I am a college student living in a dorm room with a roommate so I would not have the room or privacy to do the dvd. Plus, there are people below us so I wouldn't want to disturb them.
However, I would love to do this when I am home over the summer! I am currently trying to lose weight, I have lost about 35 pounds over the past 4 months through a very strict diet and some exercise. I still have about 20-25 pounds to lose before I reach my goal weight and I know it will be much harder to lose that weight than the past since I am much closer to a healthy weight range, so I think this challenging workout program can help shed those last pounds!
My question is will there be a Boot Camp beginning around the summer time that I could participate in, or is January the only one? Any info you can give is great, thanks!

Hi Christina - at the moment, there will be a class beginning in March and one in August but not one technically over the summer. Check here for the 2010 class schedule. Of course the schedule is subject to change, but for the time being, unfortunately we're not planning on one in that time period. Keep checking back though, and the DVD is great as a stand alone product as well!

Hi! I would like to know if you recommend this video to people injured with disk problems in the spinal cord. Thanks. Carmen

It sounds terrific. But there is one thing that irks me when I scan a site like yours advertising a product, and you have to scan all over the page, or go from link to link to find the cost of the product. Let's put the cost out there in plain English in full view, then I can determine if the cost fits into my budget.

Hi Carmen,
Based on the fact that there is a lot of bouncing, jumping jacks, running in place etc. I do not recommend it if you have any type of spinal injury. However, if you could get a list of movements to avoid from your doctor (such as the few I mention above) then I can provide a more definitive answer. Again though, based on the limited information I have about you I would say that this would not be the most appropriate DVD for you to use.
