I would add 2 more items to the check list.

1.Have you talked to your doctor about your goals and what level of fitness is best for you?

2.Have you made your intentions clear to your friends and family? They can be a great help, or a great hindrance. I lost a good friend because she was happy with being big, (or so she insisted), and she thought I felt I was getting too much into a healthy lifestyle for her to keep up with. She just stopped returning my calls. I never tried to push my new lifestyle on her, I just refused to do the "Friday night Feast on junk" and sitting around drinking high fat latte's and gorging on sweet treats anymore. She took that to mean I didn't want to spend time with her anymore. You find out who really cares about your well being when you change your life for the better.

There is never any allowance for health issues. I have extremely bad arthritis in knees and feet. I cannot exercise vigorously as I used to do. In fact, doing aerobics is a main contributor to my condition now. Also, I am hypothyroid and it takes an extreme diet to get even a pound off me. This sort of checklist is not very helpful for people like me.
