Hi Pam, I been trying to lose weight for a long time. I have arthrists in both knees, I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol which I am taking medication for. I was looking for a meal plan where you don't have to have ham or pork cooked in it and other items on the list which I can't eat due to the fact it will take my blood pressure up to a new lever. Do you have one that can fit my situation?

My husband had lap band surgery and cannot eat high fiber foods, bread, or pasta. Now he is on Coumadin and cannot eat foods high in vitamin K. If we join ediets, can you help me plan nutritious, good tasting meals that meet these restrictions? Thanks, D.L. Brown

Dear Doris,
Thanks for writing in. Hope you husband is doing well - love that you are working together (certainly helps when you have support). We can definately help provide you nutritious meals and support that can be tailored to meet basic preferences. As noted, your husband does have some limitations at this time (i.e. vitamin K rich foods; fiber; etc.) - which are very important medically to adhere too. For your needs, we can find a plan that best fits you; and for your husband, along with your physician/dietitian and our guideance, we can help tailor recipes/meals using substitutions that can work for him. Majority of the changes are learning about how to make substitutions (i.e. green beans instead of spinach, etc.) and sticking to the guidelines/meal plan mapped out for him his medical care givers. Feel free to contact nutrition@ediets.com. Talk to you soon.
