Best slip-up turnaround: “I think I stayed within my Calories. I feel good that I was still able to portion control my cravings. I think I might be learning something.”
Meal faves: Turkey chili and cheesy omelet with hash browns! Yum!
So Far, After 3 Weeks…
– Gina has said “bye-bye!” to 6.1 pounds!
– Week 1: “My new goal — to complete 10 pushups.”
– Week 3: “I got up to work out this morning and did 10 (push-ups) to start. Not so bad — 20 in my workout, then 7 sets of 10.” (Umm, Gina? We’re thinking you killed that goal!)
Biggest Success Beyond the Numbers
From Gina’s blog: “Second wind,” “the rush,” “runners high” — I found it. I have taught Spin for 6 years and remember the addiction that I had with the “high” that I would get about half way through the class. Well today I found it again. You feel like screaming or yelling! You are ready to push harder through the second half of the ride. The energy gives you goose bumps. Your adrenaline is so high you feel as though you can ride faster, stronger, harder, forever. When you are all finished you are exhaust but you feel great! (It is a good thing I do not live too close to my neighbor or they would think I was a freak!) Wow, getting fit feels great!”
