Easy Energy Even After 60!

When eDiets heard from Jan D. on our Facebook page, we just knew we had to catch up with her and hear a little of her story! Were we excited when we finally did! This 68-year-old active grandmother of 5-year-old twins is full of energy and feeling better than ever after losing 14 pounds and her “thick middle.”

Although Jan was not overweight by any means at 5’4 and 126lbs, she felt “thick” around her middle and wanted an easy solution to healthy eating since she’s only cooking for one these days. It took a long time, she lost at a rate of about 1lb per month rather than the industry standard of about 1-2lbs per week, but she says – it was blessing. “I learned so much I think because it took longer! Jan says she learned so much about creating a healthy lifestyle from being part of the program. Now a trim 112lbs, a typical days workout for Jan includes about 30 minutes of some cardiovascular activity every day. She just enjoys moving! She runs 5k races and can keep up with her grandkids any day of the week, and has taken up learning to play golf. She’s noticed she’s running faster, so she said, “eating better and losing the weight must be affecting my overall energy!” Who doesn’t want that well into their 60s?

Before stopping her deliveries completely, Jan experimented on her own by skipping shipments now and then.
