We are happy to announce an exciting new partnership between eDiets and ExerciseTV – Make Me Over! For the next 12 weeks eDiets and ExerciseTV will provide four people with our own eDiets Fresh Prepared Meal Delivery service, and personalized fitness plans using the free video-on-demand (like these!) workouts on ExerciseTV!
These four fabulous ladies will also be receiving all the perks that eDiets offers to all of its members, including personalized nutrition advice, counseling, community support, tools, and the latest in health and fitness news! All this as they share their weight loss journey with all of us!
To kick things off, I asked Tuccoa, Rochelle, Gina, and Melissa to dig down deep and share their motivation with us, here’s just a peak into what they wrote:
ROCHELLE
I have been overweight my ENTIRE life. I was a large child, a large teen, a large college student, and now a large adult. I’ve never been thin. I’ve lost some weight in the past but never enough for me to say I was skinny/thin/at a healthy weight. I don’t know my goal weight because I’ve never been there or even close. I want to be there.
GINA
I don’t want my legs to rub together anymore. I want to be comfortable in my clothes. I want to have the energy to play with my eight year old. I want to feel confident at social events. I want to look SEXY! I want to feel healthy…I want to free my mind from thinking about “I can’t wait till…”
MELISSA
What could be more motivating to help me succeed but to listen and read about everyone else’s journey to weight loss. What worked and what didn’t. At times I think all of us feel alone at one time or another. But to really listen to what everyone else has to share can give me the motivation to move forward and really see that glimmer of light to success.
TUCCOA
My Family: My husband and my son are #1 in my life. I am doing this to be healthy for them, I want to be around long enough to grow old with my hubby and kiss my great-grandkids. I want to run after my son without huffing and puffing. I want to fit my husband’s clothes again.
This is a great exercise for anyone who’s just starting out, as writing it down and sharing it with others gives it real power and meaning, and you can always come back to it if you feel your motivation waning.
Big stuff!
Whatever their motivation, here’s what makes this even more special: These are regular people, just like you and just like me! They have families and jobs and social lives — and they’re not being shuffled off to a secluded camp somewhere. They’re going to make this happen in real life, in real time. You’re not going to see any magic bullets, quick fixes or diet pills — just the right combination of nutrition, fitness and support, a ton of hard work, focus and dedication. They are literally going to work their butts off in front of your very eyes, and what an amazing accomplishment THAT is going to be…
