Does looking for motivation feel like reaching out and coming up with nothing but a handful of air? Let’s fix that. Join our “Motivation – Just a Handful of Air?” meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 9 p.m. EST. to get expert help on motivation and staying on track with your diet plan!

One of the hardest parts about losing weight and living healthier is actually getting started. Your job, your kids and other factors can all be overwhelming, leaving you with little time and energy to make healthy changes.

The next time you feel like putting off your diet or workout, keep this in mind: Procrastination Always Is Negative (PAIN). Luckily, procrastination can be fixed and you can be well on the way to a better, healthier you.

So what can you do to get yourself motivated and on track?

1. Set your priorities: If you want to make health a top priority, take a long look at your current lifestyle and see if you can rearrange your priorities to make more time for yourself. Chances are that there’s room to squeeze in a regular workout or develop other healthier habits.

2. Think of your body as a house. You own it – the mortgage is paid. Now you need to paint the trim, clear the weeds and fix the roof; you can only sweep dirt under a rug for so long. Your body is waiting for YOU to do something.

3. Clean out your cupboards. If you look in your cupboards and your first thought is “Look what I found!” it’s likely you haven’t been paying much attention to what foods you have in stock. Throw out any unhealthy stuff you find, and replace them with healthier alternatives. It’s that easy – and it’s a good start to your new healthy lifestyle.
