Might as well stop living. How much do you actually need to eat to make it bad for you!!! I buy donuts maybe three times a year to treat myself. I eat fast food maybe five times a month and love cheeseburgers. I will eat what I want to eat when I want to. For the most part, I watch my diet however, I need to treat myself once in a while. I don't go along with all that "foods to never eat" garbage.

Never eat fried chicken? I won't simply because I grew up with a commercial chicken farm and won't eat chicken in any form. However, my grandparents lived on fried chicken. Let's see, one died at 93, never being sick in her life. He died at 94 healthy and alert until his last breath. Give us all a break. And by the way, they fried theirs in lard!

The "never" is eased up with some of these foods. I'm fat, not a little bit, but a lot of bit. For years I have lived off Happy Meals which were easy to eat in the car. I'm learning moderation is the best thing for me. The other thing I've noticed is we are not as physical a society as my GPs were (They were born in the 1880's.) In her 70's, my GM would be up at 5:00 and in the fruit trees before the birds got to the fruit. By 7:00 am, she had pies in the oven and the kitchen cleaned. The only time she stopped was to watch her "stories" – General Hospital and All My Children which were 30 minutes long when I was a kid. She took the hour to eat her lunch and back to doing something until dinner and bed at 8. And of course, frying a whole chicken in Crisco used only one tablespoon!

I agree with what Anonymous implied..not to overindulge…once in a while, you can eat any food without "ruining your health". Good common sense always makes sense! Not this extreme NEVER to eat baloney.
