The key to weight loss is making changes that can last a lifetime. That’s why fad diets and crazy cleanses don’t lead to lasting weight loss — it’s impossible to eat nothing but cabbage soup the rest of your life. You have to build a base of healthy habits for your slim new lifestyle to reside on.
A great way to incorporate those healthy habits is to take the Building a Foundation 8-Week Member Challenge. It’ll help progress toward your weight-loss goals and establish a healthy “foundation” for the rest of your life.
Are you up to the challenge?
“Members join together as a team to earn points by completing weekly challenges aimed at establishing healthy living habits,” says Desiree Zeguelli, eDiets Community Assistant.
“Challenges include creating positive affirmations, developing healthy long-term habits and improving fitness activities.”
Doing a challenge is a great way to share in the elation and frustration that comes with change. Tackling one little change at a time will make it easier to live healthier, plus having a team of people for support will allow you share tips, trials and ideas on how to overcome obstacles.
“My team supports me on those days when I struggle and congratulates me on those days when I have successes,” says Rose0826, a participant from last year’s Foundation Challenge.
Support is one of the most important aspects of these team challenges, according to Desiree. The team aspect creates an accountability factor, so you don’t want to let down the other people on your team. You will take small steps towards healthier living and have support, guidance and camaraderie on your journey.
“Without this team, I know I would not have seen the success that is finally showing up. I am now on the path that I need to be on,” says Fararose, another of last year’s participants. “I lost 12 pounds through this challenge. I still have a way to go, but I know I can make it now that I have developed the good habits needed to keep going in the right direction.”
During the weekly challenges, you will learn to replace negative habits with positive ones, create affirmations to keep you on track, optimize your workouts and so much more!
You can get more information or sign up for the challenge here. If you’re not a member yet, find out which diet is best for you.
Sign-ups begin Monday, March 16th, and the challenge begins on Monday, March 30th. If you’re ready to make weight loss a reality, get started now!
