It was a one-eyed, one-horned, flying pimple people eater...

Sometimes it seems like those monstrous blemishes are taking over your face. They're large and in charge -- and you feel like nothing will zap those zits! Well, before you hang your blackheads in shame, there are plenty of remedies to get rid of pimples in a matter of minutes.

The first step in putting down those pimples is making sure you have all the necessary ingredients on hand. Rummage through your medicine cabinet and you'll probably find most of what you need. Anything you don't have can be purchased at the local drugstore.

Once you're set up, use the tried-and-true recipes for getting rid of pimples and putting blemishes out of sight and out of mind.

1. Mix one-half cup of warm water with one-half teaspoon of salt. Apply to blemish with a cotton ball. Maintain pressure for a couple of minutes. Dab honey on the blemish and allow to dry. Rinse off.

2. For back breakouts, wet a washcloth with benzoyl peroxide and wash your back. Smooth on an anti-fungal cream.

3. If you've broken out in an acne rash and are running out the door, calm the redness down with a dab of aloe vera gel. Other ways to reduce redness include: using an eye redness reliever, hydrocortisone, hemorrhoid cream or calamine lotion.

4. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice and one tablespoon of cornstarch. Pat the paste on the blemish and let dry.

5. If the bump seems really red or swollen, apply an ice cube to reduce signs of inflammation.

Now that you've learned quick ways to beautify your skin, why not improve your whole body by eating healthy, freshly prepared food delivered straight to your front door! Click here to see how it works.
