They're the frame of the face and yet they too often go untouched.
We're talkin' eyebrows. For some unlucky folks, overgrown eyebrows can overshadow their looks. You know the type: hair here, hair there, hair everywhere.
A properly shaped brow makes eyes look bigger and cheekbones appear higher. It gives the face strength and expression.
Sure, you could go to a pricey salon and have them plucked by a "pro." But if you're like me, you refuse to spend good money on things you can do for virtually nothing at home.
Today's your plucky day because I have five tips for beating your brows into submission.
1. Tweeze It! Tweeze immediately after showering or apply a hot washcloth to loosen hair follicles.
2. The Golden Arches! Brush your brows up to find your natural arch.
3. For Good Measure! Hold a pencil vertically (up and down) against the outside of your eye. This is where the eyebrow should end.
4. The Pencil Test! Hold a pencil vertically against the bridge (center) of the nose. Your inner eyebrow should start at the inside edge of the pencil.
5. Removing Unwanted Hairs! Use an eyelash comb or small toothbrush and comb brows upwards. Trim any hairs that extend beyond the natural top of the brow.

I respectfully disagree...
This pencil measuring tip is totally wrong. If you "Hold a pencil vertically against the bridge (center) of the nose. Your inner eyebrow should start at the inside edge of the pencil."-that'd be almost a unibrow...
Not only that, but how about the different face types and those whose eyes are set closer, or further apart etc...
I have read better instructions before that made total sense.-Like holding the pencil to the edge of your nostril and lining it with the inner corner of your eye- that would point out the spot where your brow should start...lining it up with the outer corner of your eye gives you the place for the end of your brow... Try it to see the difference...

i agree that the proposed "unibrow" info is wrong.
BUT: the old advice of "vertical line from outside edge of nostril through inner corner of eye" starting place
i am now using rogain (and have used nexus products) in an effort to REGROW old plucking problems.
the idea that you HAVE to follow any rule is a little off.. you know? like keeping them EXACTLY THE GOD INTENDED? well if that's the case why not just do nothing?
the whole point of makeup is to improve - to your satisfaction - the best possible "tweaking" of your features r.e: your ide of percieved beauty.
nowhere have i ever heard anyone say or write, "your lips should only be covered with pink and should start in the middle where your teeth meet and end 4 teeth over each way.
you "tweak' it to the max girls. if skimpy brows become you then have at it. if catapillar ones do - do that too.
whatever makes you look your best (according to YOU)
that's what makeup is for. there are hardly any rules anymore. i.e. how many of you have used eye shaddow on their lips? well if you haven't you should try it. makes a heck of a nice absorbent not too crisp lip liner (on the outside please - THEN add the stuff to the whole lip~
