Beef Picadillo with Steamed Green Beans and Brown Rice

Beef Picadillo with Brown RiceIngredients
4 oz. of lean, ground round beef
1/3 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
3 spanish stuffed olives
1/4 cup tomato sauce, low sodium
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
Also Include:
1/3 cup cooked brown rice
Directions: 1/3 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
3 spanish stuffed olives
1/4 cup tomato sauce, low sodium
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
Also Include:
1/3 cup cooked brown rice
Heat oil in a skillet to medium high. Sauté and crumble ground beef until browned. Add garlic powder, onions and pepper; cook for 2-3 minutes. Slice olives and add to meat mixture with tomato sauce and oregano. Lower heat to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes. Serve.

Steamed Green Beans
Ingredients 1 1/2 cups frozen green beans
1 clove garlic
1/3 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Place green beans in a microwave safe dish and cook on high until crisp tender, about 5 minutes depending on microwave. They can be also be steamed for 5 to 6 minutes. Slice garlic into slivers. Combine beans with garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Toss well and serve.
