Here's a high-protein version of the hot dog that is so delicious you won't even know it's healthy!

Ingredients:
4 oz. ground turkey, 99% fat-free
1 cooked turkey sausage (~3 oz.)
2 serving frozen French fries (~20 fries total)
2 whole medium dill pickles
1 medium whole wheat hoagie roll

Instructions:
Pre-heat grill to medium-high heat to 400° F and pre-heat oven to 400° F.

With the ground turkey, form one hamburger patty. Flatten patty thin and place the turkey sausage at one end. Roll up the sausage inside of the patty. Wrap turkey burger dog in tin foil.

Place French fries on a cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes or until preferred crispiness. While fries are in the oven, grill the turkey burger dog foil pouch, turning over every 2-3 minutes, until burger is cooked (approximately 8-10 minutes). You can carefully open the foil to check the doneness.

Once turkey burger dog is done, carefully remove from foil pouch – it will be very hot). Place burger dog back on the grill and turn frequently until desired browning has taken place. Remove from grill. Place turkey burger dog on a hoagie roll and cut in half. Put each half on a plate; serve each with 10 French fries and a medium dill pickle.
