Zesty Caramel Nut Popcorn

Here's a healthy, delicious snack that will satisfy your cravings for sweet, spicy and crunchy!

Ingredients:
4 cups air-popped popcorn
3 tbsp. barbecue sauce
3 tbsp. water
¾ tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 package (14 oz.) caramels
1 cup peanuts

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 300º F. Mix barbecue sauce, water and hot sauce in a large, microwaveable bowl. Add caramels; stir. Microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 minutes or until caramels are completely melted when stirred. Stir until well blended. Add popcorn and peanuts to bowl; toss to coat.

Spread onto lightly greased or parchment-covered baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes. Cool completely. Break into clusters. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Since when is using an entire bag of caramels considered healthy? Sure, a serving is half a cup, but if you're making that big of a bowl, who's going to eat just a half cup?
