Balsamic Pork with Steamed Carrots and Brown Rice

Balsamic Pork with Steamed Carrots and Brown Rice

Balsamic Pork

* 5 oz. lean pork
* 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
* 1/4 tsp. black pepper
* 2 1/2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
* 1/3 tbsp. olive oil

Directions:

Rinse, trim of visible fat, and pat dry pork. Cut pork into thin slices. Season with garlic powder, black pepper and balsamic vinegar and turn to coat evenly. Heat olive oil in non stick skillet to medium high and sauté pork 2 to 3 minutes, until no longer pink. Remove and serve with brown rice.

Steamed Carrots

* 16 baby carrots

Directions:

Place carrots in a microwave safe bowl and sprinkle with water; cover and microwave on High for about 4-5 minutes until tender. If they’re still too crisp for your taste, just cook for a few minutes longer.

    Thanks for sharing this recipe! My mom loves eating brown rice! She would love to add this recipe in her list. Thanks! :D

    Actually I would like the recipe in the picture. Those would be roasted (?) carrots, and there are onions with the pork, and a gravy of sorts. No rice either.

    I think it would be best if the pictures of the food on the article acurately reflected the recipe. It is misleading to show a more appealing picture to a recipe that is way more simple, plus you can't acurately see what kind of cut of meat is used, etc. Just a thought.
